Assistant Professor Recruitment:
A total of 1112 Assistant Professor posts have been advertised
across various specialities under the Medical Education Department (Allopathy),
including specialities such as Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology,
Cardiology, General Medicine, General Surgery, Pharmacology, Pathology,
Microbiology and others.
Eligibility & Qualification
Assistant Professor
The essential educational qualification and teaching/clinical experience
varies according to the concerned speciality.
Candidates are required to possess the prescribed postgraduate medical qualification and experience applicable to the particular speciality.
For many specialities, the notification prescribes one year of Senior Resident experience in the concerned subject after obtaining the required degree, subject to the alternative eligibility provisions mentioned in the advertisement.

Important OTR Requirement
One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory.
Candidates who have not obtained an OTR Number must obtain it from the
UPPSC OTR portal before applying.
The notification advises candidates without an OTR Number to obtain it
72 hours before submission of the online application.
After obtaining the OTR Number, candidates can submit the application
through the UPPSC website.
Selection Process
